What We Do

FCFB leads the agriculture industry and the community in addressing issues that result in long-term viability for agriculture and promoting the economic vitality of the region.

Political Action – FCFB represents its members at the local, state and federal levels of government, bringing agricultural interests to the forefront of discussions surrounding issues that affect the industry (i.e., air quality, water quality and supply, labor, land use and other issues that will determine the viability of agriculture).
Community Outreach – Agricultural production in Fresno County is the largest contributor to the area economy. FCFB highlights the economic and social importance of the industry through devoted community leadership and media outreach. By utilizing its monthly newsletter, Agriculture Today, and weekly e-newsletter, Ag Wire, FCFB actively engages the community with timely agricultural information.
Education – Farm Bureau takes a leading role in educating children and the public about agriculture. As California’s population continues to become further removed from the farm, FCFB helps bridge the gap between the consumer and farmer.
