Headquartered in Modesto, the Manufacturers Council represents various food and wine processors, packaging and container manufacturers, fabricators, power generators, warehousing and distribution firms, environmental consultants, and other related businesses and industries located in California’s San Joaquin Valley and whose markets are local, state, national and international.
MCCV provides leadership and technical expertise for the manufacturing industry within the San Joaquin Valley of California through the rapid acquisition and dissemination of relevant information; targeted initiatives, including outreach and education, in response to identified challenges and opportunities; and effective, united advocacy on policy and regulatory issues with all appropriate organizations. The Manufacturers Council works with local leaders, regulators and interested parties to ensure ongoing attainment of the organization’s goals to develop and maintain a fair and reasonable regulatory climate under which our businesses can operate and prosper. When issues hit the front burner, the Manufacturers Council draws upon the technical expertise and leadership skills of its members to provide policy makers with responsible and workable, business-friendly solutions. The Manufacturers Council is a non-profit trade association organized under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is governed by a board of directors which delegates issues to various committees for research and recommendations and was formed to provide a collective voice for manufacturing interests on issues of common concern. Membership fees or contributions are not deductible for Federal income tax purposes as charitable contributions, but may be deductible as a trade or business expense if ordinary and necessary in the conduct of business.
