The BizFed Central Valley board voted on June 13 to oppose SB 825 (Beall), which would have required project labor agreements for all state prison construction and limited pre-apprenticeship training for inmates to union-approved curriculum only.
BizFed CV quickly sent letters to the author and chairs of the Assembly Public Safety and Labor and Employment committees.
After having passed the Senate in late May, it was set for hearing earlier this week in the Assembly but Sen. Beall PULLED THE BILL!
